We also need to take steps to protect and restore natural habitats such as forests and wetlands, which help to reduce the effects of climate change.

On an individual level, everyone can take action to reduce their carbon footprint. This can include reducing the amount of energy used in the home, using public transportation, and eating less meat. We should also work to educate ourselves and others about the importance of taking action on climate change and the steps that can be taken to do so.
